Our World
Haiti Mission Project
The people of Ranquitte, Haiti, are served through a partnership of Yates Baptist Church with Christian Flights, International. This project provides food, clothing, hygiene items, medicines, medical supplies, and school supplies for Yates mission trips, as well as funds for hurricane relief, agriculture education, and teacher sponsorship for the village of Ranquitte. Generous donations to this project and fund raisers have provided the means for building many homes, providing medical and dental care, and sharing the gospel by Yates mission teams.
Jean Byrd WMU Group
This ladies mission group focuses on promoting national and world missions awareness, action, and advocacy. They support various church and community projects, including the Yates Baptist Association Christmas Toy Store, World Changers, the Yates Baptist Association food pantry, Operation Christmas Child, and the Haiti Mission Project. The members also participate in the Week of Prayer for North Carolina State Missions, Southern Baptist Convention North American and International Missions, and Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Global Missions.
Operation Christmas Child
People of all ages participate in this mission project. Several hundred decorated shoeboxes containing hygiene items, toys, school supplies, and books are packed annually. This project supplies needy children around the world with small gifts and the Gospel in their native languages.
