Women's Ministry

The purpose of our Yates Women's Ministry is to encourage women in the areas of spiritual formation, ministry, missions and evangelism.  Our goals are to provide opportunities for women to come to know Christ and to encourage them to grow in their daily walk with Him.  We seek to provide an environment in which women can establish meaningful relationships within the body of Christ as well as reach out to women in our community. 

We claim this scripture as recorded in Ephesians 3:17b-19 for our Yates women:  "And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power together with all the saints, to grasp how wide, and long, and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."

Our active Women's Ministry offers various opportunities to accomplish our purpose and goals through special events, Bible studies, interest groups, and mission opportunities.  Spring and fall Bible studies are usually held which include both morning and evening sessions.  Special events include weekend and weekday evening conferences, seminars and workshops with either a DVD message series or a featured speaker.  Interest groups include a scrapbooking fellowship and a "Busy Hands" crochet group during which special projects are crafted for missions.  We also seek to provide retreat opportunities at off-site conferences when possible.  Each event always provides wonderful fellowship opportunities through which relationships may be enhanced.
