Children
The Children’s Ministry is built on the belief that we can never start too young to instill the love of God in our children. Our loving and caring teachers have many years of experience working with children of all ages. They are dedicated not only to caring properly for children, but also teaching them of Jesus and His love for them.
We desire through our children’s ministry to plant seeds in the lives of our children that will motivate them to become devoted followers of Christ. The church partners with parents to accomplish this task. Children leave our children's classes with a solid foundation of biblical teachings and an appreciation for the wonderful stories of our faith. In the fall of 2004, a beautiful, new, ground-level floor of preschool space was completed, giving our program safe and functional facilities. A beeper security system is available for parents of younger preschoolers, adding an additional layer of security and comfort.
Our children's ministry has seen ongoing growth under the leadership of our Children's Minister, J. Muckenfuss. He received his ministerial training from Campbell University, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M. Div.) and Duke University (Clinical Pastoral Education). As the parent of triplets, J. gets on the job training for everything related to kids. Yates recognizes that children’s ministry is one of the key ways to help young families grow together in Jesus Christ.
