Our Beliefs
- We believe that Jesus Christ is the unique Son of God who died on the cross for the sins of the world and was resurrected from the dead by the power of God.
- We believe in the Triune God, revealed to us as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the church of Jesus Christ, both local and universal. We recognize the church as the body of baptized, redeemed believers in Jesus Christ.
- We practice baptism by immersion for all who voluntarily profess their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- We share the Lord’s Supper around the Lord’s table among all those who have publicly professed their faith in Jesus Christ.
- We believe the Holy Scriptures are the inspired written Word of God, true and trustworthy, authoritative in matters of faith and practice.
- We recognize the Protestant canon of the Bible, comprised of 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament, as our authoritative Holy Scripture.
- We believe our final authority in matters of faith and practice is Jesus Christ as revealed in Holy Scriptures and present in the world through the Holy Spirit.
As Baptist Christians, we affirm the autonomy of the local church, the priesthood of every believer. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we as a church are called to seek, call, ordain, and nurture leaders for the advancement of the vision of the church.
- We recognize that each believer is responsible for exercising his or her gifts through the power of the Holy Spirit, interpreting the Bible, and serving Jesus Christ through the church. Each believer is called to be a disciple and witness for Jesus Christ.
- We believe in cooperating with other Baptist Christians and other Christians for the advancement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- We believe both the church and state are legitimate institutions created by a Sovereign God. Jesus Christ alone, is Lord of the conscience.
- We believe in religious liberty for all people in the world, and that all people should be free to worship or not worship, believe or not believe, engage in religious activity or not.
- We seek to promote religious liberty and pray for it to be born around the world God created.
- We believe that all who die in Christ shall live forever in heaven with Him and all the saints redeemed by Him.
- We believe in the final appearing of Jesus Christ, who will come to judge the living and the dead, and enact divine justice according to His perfect will.
